Water Sports
If you possess your own equipment and are a connoisseur of the sea and its whims, you can freely choose the beach that suits you and practise water sports! The astounding, rich seabed, the crystal-clear waters and the variety of beaches will enthrall you! Owing to the morphology of the island, there are many quiet beaches for surfing and diving, which are easy to discover by going around the island.
Psaralyki A and B, Glyfa, Apantima (in the east) and Ayios Yeorgios (in the southwest) are organised beaches, equipped withumbrellas and sunbeds for swimmers and sunbathers.
If you do not possess your own equipment, are an amateur and wish to try a new, unforgettable action experience, the beaches you are seeking are Glyfa, and Psaralyki A and B. At Psaralyki A there are pedalos, at Psaralyki B you can enjoy the fun of water games (‘banana’, etc)—these are beaches easily reached on foot from the Port. At Glyfa, you will be able to do some windsurfing. Access to the beach is easy, as there are frequent bus departures. The equipment for water sports is provided or rented on site.
On the main road of the village of Antiparos, you will find two specialised shops with water sport equipment. If you are among the brave ones of this world, all that remains is for us to welcome you to the island and wish that you ‘Have Fun’!
The restless visitor knows that he or she can enjoy something much more than the sun and a swim in the azure waters of Antiparos. Water sports are widespread, and the island affords the infrastructure not only for amateurs in the field but also for the initiated. You can enjoy pedalos, canoes, kayaks, scuba diving, windsurfing and water games from the beginning of May through the end of September.
